Artisanal fisherman Joaquim Eduardo Marques Maio has been denied a fishing license and now faces unemployment. In protest against what he describes as injustice and corruption within Portugal’s fisheries system, Joaquim stages a solitary demonstration on a small traffic island in front of the Ministry in Lisbon.
Receiving no support from fishing associations, he portrays a sector marked by fierce competition among artisanal fishermen, as well as corruption within both the associations and the Ministry of Fisheries.
The documentary follows Joaquim’s protest while exploring the reasons behind his struggle. Through his way of living, thinking, and working, the film reflects his determination to defend his rights .

A documentary about the different concepts of second hand market in Germany and Tanzania. The flow of Second Hand connects both countries. On the one hand the flood of used clothes from Europe prevent Tanzanian companies from building up own clothing industries. on the other the second hand market creates lots of jobs in Tanzania from sellers like Crisbin at Sabasaba Market in Dodoma, or tailors like Winfrieda who create new pieces out of the used clothes fitting the new customer. In Germany second hand plays another role: it's a trend and a movement towards sustainability. cristina, owner of the vintage market in Stuttgart and Susanne owner of Trouvé in Tübingen explain their different business models.
